RICK AND ROSIE ON THE ROAD - SPRING, 2011
ROSIE: Bark, bark, bark! My favorite pastime according to Mom. I have to guard the neighborhood, even from the neighbors when I am not on the road, and I haven’t been on the road this year. I think I’ll just bark some more.
RICK: Rosie hasn’t went any where since Christmas at my Dad’s because I have done a lot of dates where I could get back home in a few hours and it was too cold for her to be out in “her” van. I’ve sang for a few churches here in Nashville and in Kentucky. When not out on the road on Sunday’s, I still play piano and sing at Trinity UMC.
ROSIE: I have had to take care of Mom lately by lying beside her in bed or cuddling in her lap to keep her warm. She won’t let me on her shoulder to sleep like I like to because she has an “owie.” We have had a lot of company lately and they have been bringing food and I have been helping Mom eat it.
RICK: Lana had breast cancer surgery the end of February and had to have more surgery three weeks later for skin that didn’t heal. They got it all, but this has wiped her out and me too. Rosie hasn’t been on the road but has kept us entertained and comforted.
ROSIE: We are going on a trip soon for Dad to sing. Uncle Randy is fixing my van so it will be ready for me. My crate is in there but I have to check my suitcase for my food, treats, and tee-shirts. Gotta go, I hear a strange car and have to bark at it.
