ROSIE:  My last trip was toFlorida with Mom and Dad in April. Dad sang a few times and he took me swimming in the Gulf. Mom had just had her second surgery so she just took pictures. I really liked being in the water but I was ready for a nap when I got back to the van.

RICK: Three weeks after Lana’s second surgery, we loaded up for our yearly week of concerts inFlorida. We didn’t do a whole lot but eat, sing, eat, walk, eat, sleep, and site see.

ROSIE: I have stayed home most of the summer taking care of Mom. She needed someone to lick her face when she was hurting. I haven’t even been to see Papaw since Christmas.

RICK: I have done a few dates here and there when Lana felt like going. She runs my sound and she kind of has to be there. It got so hot so early this year that Rosie has spent most of the time with Nick, her sitter.

ROSIIE:  Mom and Dad had a new roof put on our house this summer and it was hard work keeping all the people in line. I ran from door to door barking and growling, letting them know I was on the job protecting my home.

RICK: Soon, Rosie will be seeing her Papaw. He has said that dogs do not belong in the house, but guess who spoils her!
