Hi, hope you are having a good New Year. My website has just been updated so you may be hearing a lot from me.

2020 was a very strange, weird, and even frightening year to say the least. My music ministry came to a screeching halt, my secondary job as a hairstylist was down for 6 months and my position as church pianist/music director (when not on the road) was gone as well, therefore the income was non-existent . On top of all that, my sweet little dog, Rosie, of 15 years passed away at the end of March and Lana and I were devastated. Rosie had her own column, “Rick & Rosie on the Road” on my website for many years, traveled all over the country with us and was a faithful loyal companion. It was like losing a family member.
I have done a number of Facebook Live in home concerts the past 8 months and they have proven to be very successful in many ways. Setting up sound gear in the house or garage, trying to get decent lighting and good sound in a small room is not easy, but we gave it our all and for the help (financially and spiritually), Lana and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We would not have made it without you. Thank you Becky Davis Short for joining me on two FB Live concerts. We had a lot of fun – it is fun to sing with another artist, especially if they are as zany as me. Look for more in the future.
We made it to 2021 and I actually have some concert dates booked and I am planning on coming back even stronger than before. We have been going to church, when it is allowable, and Lana sits on one side of the church while everyone else sits away from her. I have a new project, “Reminders”, coming out soon with some of the best material I have even recorded. Ten songs are ready but had planned for 12. Maybe?
Continue to pray for us as I attempt to get back out there doing what I love to do and believe in with all my heart.
It’s been tough and I have fought anger, confusion and even some depression, but the good book says in many places that God will never leave us or forsake us. Hold on to those promises! We’re going to be okay!!!

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy. He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of Joy.
